Educational leadership (Engelstalig): Aini Jappinen (plenair)

In a society which is in constant turmoil, schools are desperately trying to keep up with the multiple and simultaneous changes that are thrown at them and that cause the teaching profession to suffer feelings of alienation, fragmentation and overload. Pupils have to acquire new knowledge and skills all the time, and it seems to be impossible to cover them all within the time allocated. If schools want to keep playing a relevant role in our society, they have to learn how to cope with multiple changes on an ongoing basis. The programme includes a.o. modules on:

  • Organisational learning
  • Dealing with resistance
  • Training sessions on coaching and active listening
  • Effective strategies and conditions for school improvement
  • Professional dialogues on participants’ cases

Doelstellingen: na de workshop:

  • Kennen van resultaten uit academisch onderzoek over ‘collaborative leadership’.
  • Weten hoe de tien kernpunten met elkaar interfereren.
  • Nadenken over de manier waarop de onderzoeksresultaten binnen de context van een school/instelling kunnen toepassen
